Lake Mont Pines
This Lake Mont Pines travel print is a giclee print of an original watercolor painting with hand drawn lettering done by Dave Christian in 2018. The lettering is a hand drawn font featuring the name of lake and apart of a series of Arnold, California's local lakes. This print features the beautiful Tanner Lake and lodge. Also featured and a prominent part of the painting are El Toro sailboats which at one time were seen racing around Lake Mont Pines lake.
Some historical facts you may not know which I needed to research for myself. A big thanks to Lynn Glocker who helped in doing the leg work! The name of the lake is seen on the original paperwork noting Norman, Norvell, and Irving Tanner who owned the property and started the original subdivision and who carved out the lake from Cowell Creek in 1960; hence the name Tanner Lake. By the end of 1960 Kenneth DeMuse bought the property from the Tanner brothers and named the subdivision Lake Mont Pines. According to the grant deed of 1966 the spelling of Lake Mont Pines is divided up into three words and not two. DeMuse went on to build Blue Lake Springs.
